Well this was our second Banska Bystrica Camp and I had the joy of having my home church of Blackhawk with us at camp. Not only did we have 9 people from Blackhawk, but also a team from Battle Creek Michigan. This was probably the best camp I have ever been to. It was so relaxing and the American teams served so well. I also loved seeing our students experience other Christians from over seas.
We actually had 6 students come to Christ at the camp! I was able to share the gospel with another guy at our camp, Janci, pictured below (with blond hair). He has decided to follow Jesus in His life and be more apart of Fusion. I also had some really deep conversations with two of the guys I have been building into, Jano and Gavin. This was such an amazing time as I had been discouraged up until the camps with some of my discipleship relationships. I really love my students and am so thankful that so many of them have given their lives to Christ! During the camp I was teaching two of the students Bass Guitar. One of them Miska, I have been teaching for quite a while. She is such a sweet little girl, but has such a hard life. I was really praying for her over the last year that she would accept Christ. At Camp she had the opportunity, but did not. She said it was too much to think about. Although she did not make a decision, some of the others who made decisions are students, we have been praying for Salvation for quite some time. One of these students was Tomas, who I have written about before. He is an energetic young guy who is ADD off the charts. During the gospel night, he decided to make a decision for Christ. One of the American teams leaders, John Grafton, shared the gospel from the perspective of fatherlessness. This was amazing for our students as 95% of them do not have fathers. They really understood their need for God as their perfect Father!
I am so thankful to finally have Blackhawk send a team to help with a camp. It was such a blessing to have a team come over of people I know, who could see first hand what I am doing over here. I am also thankful for their willingness to serve and give so much of themselves to what God is doing!
