Peer Relationships and the Gospel

0

I spend most of my life investing in younger people and with those older then me, but do not spend much time with people my own age.  I have come to realize that I also need to have healthy peer relationships with people my own age and in my stage in life in my local community.  I have therefore begun to spend more time with a couple people I have known for a while, but have not spent much time hanging out with.  Here are some of these people.

Lubo is a guy, who has been teaching at our church’s school for the last year.  He recently began volunteering in Fusion, but although we have known each other, we have not spent much time together. I know that Lubo likes to work with his hands and I needed to build a bunk bed for my spare room, so I invited him to join me.  It took us two days, Saturday and Sunday.  It was a great time to spend getting to know him and just do guy stuff together.  Please pray for our friendship, that we can grow closer and encourage each other in Christ.

Majka (pronounced Micah) was my Slovak teacher when I first moved to Slovakia, she then became a realtor and helped me find my apartment that I bought, she got married about a year ago to Gabo (Gabriel).  Majka and I have maintained a good friendship over the years, but I did not know Gabo very well.  About a month ago, I invited them over for dinner and then a couple of days ago they invited me over.  We found out that we both enjoy hiking and Geocaching.  We went up in the mountains Geocaching and hiking for the day.  This was a great time to spend together and to get to know Gabo better.  Both Majka and Gabo are not Christians.  Please pray for me as I try to be an example of Christ and a good friend.
