KPM 2016

0

This year are theme for KPM (Our youth Leaders Conference) was, “You have it in your blood.”  The conference was about God as our Father and the things we have in God as His children, the same as earthy fathers pass on aspects of themselves through blood (DNA) to their children. We talked about the difference of what comes from our earthly Fathers and our heavenly Father.  For me the conference was more than just this.

As I do every other year, I was in charge of the sound equipment for the conference.  I also had the same team of guys with me.  I love these guys and the work they put into the conference. They always serve with so much humility and joy.  I am thankful that every year I have the opportunity to serve and to learn from them.  This year we had some problems that we needed to overcome and each one was solved without much trouble.

One of the main things that was harder for the sound guys, was our Sunday morning worship.  We gathered people from all over Slovakia and had a small orchestra for worship. Their was a choir, saxophones, violins, drums, bass, guitar, piano, keys, banjo, solo singers, and I even had the pleasure of playing trumpet with my colleague Mark. The Worship set was created and led by Hudson Jones and arranged by Mark Chase, my colleagues.  They did a brilliant job and gave us all such a opportunity to worship God together with over 600 youth leaders in a fun unique way.

Finally, I had the opportunity to pour into some of the JV Kids at the conference.  The Chase, Rumbold, Shepperson, and Poloha boys were there at the conference. One of the days, we went out and spent some time goofing around with each other and talking about what God has been doing in our lives.  These guys have some many challenges in their lives.  I am so honored that I can be a part of encouraging them.  We finished up the time by being American and treating ourselves to McDonalds, a real treat over here.  IMG_9250
