This weekend I took a group of our students out East to our new Fusion in Obišovce. There was nine of us, the first of the those who told me they could come. From the beginning I told them that this was not just a fun trip for them, but it was a trip to go help the group in the East. I told them that they would each have a responsibility and that I expected them to mix and build relationships there, not just stay in our group.
I was quite surprised to find that they took me up on my challenge. Some led warmups, taught songs, mixed, cleaned up afterwards, and even translated the talk. I am thankful to see how these young souls have grown from kids who need, into young leaders who are willing to give and help another group. We can see this year that they are really stepping up and leading not only in our Fusion, but also across Slovakia. It amazes me that God can take kids, which most would say have no potential, and make them into young leaders and servants, but then again I guess He did that with all of us! Please pray for these young hearts!
