The last part of the summer I spent with my JV guys. Ian, Gavin, Jayce, and Tate came over. We went rock climbing and even hiked Krivan, the mountain which is the national symbol in Slovakia. It was a fun time, my 5th peak in the Tatry’s to summit. The guys did good although they are not so used to hiking. I just highly valued the time to invest in them. It is such a blessing that God allows me to be a part of these guys lives. I know I certainly have no skills to do it on my own, but only what the Lord provides. We really need Him for everything, don’t we?
I have been learning so much about Trusting God in my life. I am studying through the Bible now with the theme of Trusting God. It says that we shouldn’t rely on our own ideas and understanding but on Him. This is so hard for me. These days God has been telling me over and over to be patient and trust in Him. I was reminded of this recently. I was on the way to JV Kid’s camp and forgot my passport. I finally got it and made it to camp only two hours late. As I looked back I could see every detail that God had changed just to take care of this need. He is so good even in small areas of my life. I can trust Him!
I really love the JV Kid’s camp, It is so amazing every year to see what God is doing in the JVK lives. These kids are really amazing, living in a different country always with the pressure that comes with living between two cultures. I am also so encouraged and often feel they have more to share with me then I do them. With my guys we had so many good conversations and laughs together. We had so many young kids this year, it is growing so quickly.
