I was blessed the last two weeks to have my Dad visit me during Spring Conference and then come to Slovakia with me afterward. I thoroughly enjoy whenever someone visits me in Slovakia, but it is especially important to me when it is a family member. I have been blessed that my Dad has the opportunity to come more often to Slovakia, then I would have expected.
While Dad was here, we traveled to conference together, saw some castles, hiked in the Tatry’s, helped out one of my friends here, and spent time at the Poloha’s house. We really didn’t have to busy a schedule, which was nice. In the Tatry mountains, we found a nice even trail that my Dad could manage without much problem. I am really thankful for the opportunity to be able to hike with my Father. This was an activity I enjoyed doing with him as a kid, it is fun to be able to do it again.
Finally, one of my most memorable moments in the recent years with my Dad was on the way to the Airport. We stopped in the town of Hainburg Under Den Donau, in Austria. We walked through town and found a small train station by the Danube river and watched the sunset from a bench there. As we sat we talked about the future and what God has for me next in my life. This was a very significant conversation for me. I am so thankful for my Dad and his advice in my life.
