This last Wednesday we did our main Fusion Christmas Concert. We had been a little worried about it as our students did not seem to be getting the parts still only a week ago, but they have really worked hard and learned everything well. For the first time we had the concert in the school building instead of in the church. This was much more ideal as there is more space and better sound. I also believe that it brought in more people from outside the church, as it is a neutral location. After the concert we provided a meal for everyone which was donated by two guys in our church, who own a restaurant, so it was very good! What a blessing that they did that for us. It was also fun during the meal to be able to interact with our guests.
One of the highlights for me was seeing our student Tomas who is pretty decent on drums helping one of the other new students. Filip was playing the drums for one of the songs but is only just learning drums. During the concert he began to miss the beat and tempo. Tomas immediately went over to help him. We loved that he did not just take over, which is in his nature, but he just helped Filip to succeed. It is really encouraging to see these little growths in Character among our students! Below I have added a video link of our concert if you would like to watch it.
