Exit Tour Zilina and in the East

0

These last weeks we had EXIT Tour in Zilina in the North of Slovakia and in the East.  As a reminder, this is what Exit Tour is:

EXIT Tour connects local churches, fellowships, schools, city leaders, lecturers, a band, and volunteers to help protect this young generation against unhealthy influences in their lives, and also to share the Gospel with young people wherever they are.  We offer to schools an educational prevention program. Through professional lectures we aim to help schools educate their students about the problems teenagers face every day. Our common goal for these students is to discover alternatives and find solutions to the hard life-situations in which they live. Our desire is to help them find eternal values in the faith of Jesus Christ. We prepare different activities every afternoon for all students, as well as an outreach concert at the end of the week, which is in cooperation with the city.

During the week I had two main roles.  I was the Stage man for the sound and lighting along with Draho, who was running the sound.  The second thing I was a part of was leading a Fusion Seminar.  This began as a advertisement for Fusion two EXITs ago, but has evolved into a seminar promoting the idea of living life in a profitable way.  We have three main ideas that we discuss.  They are Creativity, Culture, and Community.  As we discuss creativity, we play some games and encourage the students that each one of them has creativity, given by God, that they can use to improve their life and the lives of those around them.  We also talk about the role of Culture in our lives and how although we live in culture, it does not need to be what defines us.  God has made us each unique.  We don’t all need to be like Sheldon Cooper from Big bang theory or aspire to be like Miley Cyrus, at least I hope not.  We should be who God made us to be.  Finally, we talk about Community.  We talk about how life is better when we live in community, when we consider others better than ourselves.  It was a blessed two weeks and we experienced so many good stories!  Check out Stories from Exit for more!
