Banska Bystrica Camp 2014

0

The Camp in Banska Bystrica this year was probably the best camp I have ever been at.  There was so much energy and excitement in the students.  We worked hard and played hard at camp.  Besides some minor disciplinary problems with one student, it  really ran smoothly.

I was the leader for the choir at our camp which I was quite nervous about.  It is a big responsibility and you really need to know music well, which I don’t.  I believe that God extended me a lot of grace during this time as it really ran smoothly and our students managed to perform so well at the concert, that I can definitely say it was our best concert.  The students worked so hard and have shown a lot of maturity this year.  It was neat to see the community and the love that we have in our Fusion.  I am excited about the future of our Fusion and our students who are so different then the first time we met them.

During the week I interacted with three of the guys I try to Disciple.  They had some really big changes during the week! One decided that he was done doing his own thing and wanted to be more obedient to God in his life.  The second decided to read his Bible more and spend time with God!  The third wanted to be more involved in sharing Christ with his friends!  Hallelujah!   Pray for Sam, Matej, and Janci as they move forward in their faith.

Finally I would like to tell you about Miska.  I have written about Miska before.  She has been in our Fusion 2 1/2 years, nearly the whole time and has never shown interest in God until about a month ago at our spring concert.  You can read about it here: Miska Info. During the gospel night at camp she came to Draho, sat down, and said, “The sin needs to go!”  She then prayed to receive Christ in her life!  Praise God!  Then she said, “Ok, now I want to serve God so others can know His love also, what can I do?”  Can you imagine?  She is ready to go! She is ready to serve and love.  I believe this girl went further in 10 minutes then most Christians are willing to go in their whole life.  We knew that when she came to Christ it would be radical and it is! At Church Sunday she was singing worship songs and even standing!  Draho asked students to come up and share how the camp was.  Most said it was fun and they enjoyed it.  Miska came and said, “I gave my life to God at camp, so it was the best experience in my life!” She then went and sat back down, that was all that needed to be said.  Many people in our church were crying after that.  Please pray for her continued growth and that God will use her to be a young Josiah in her country, we see so much potential in her!
