Peter and the train tunnel

0

This last week I had two really great opportunities with students.  The first one was with a new guy to our Fusion but a guy I have interacted with for some time over facebook.  He is Jano’s little brother Peťo.  He has been coming around Fusion everyday for about three weeks and is always so bored.  Sometimes it can be annoying how often he is there. I usually give him some tasks until I am finished with what I am doing and can hang out with him.  I know that he likes riding his bike so last Thursday I asked him if he wanted to go on a bike ride.  He said yes and we set out on our bikes.  I am not an avid cyclist, I just ride around town.  We rode for 4 and 1/2 hours and went around 40-50 miles.  Our goal, which I did not know was a tunnel up in the mountains.  We arrived there and Peťo told me that it is his favorite spot.  When I asked him why, he said, “it is the best spot to watch trains.”  I asked him if he liked trains and he said, “they are my favorite!”  Can you imagine I have talked to him for over a year and did not know this boy, who has been following me around, happens to like the same thing I do!  We sat there and waited for a train.  I am so thankful that God has shown me somethings I have in common with this boy that I can use to reach him for Christ!  Please pray for him!

The Second opportunity was with Tomaš and Jano.  You know these two boys as I have told about them before and they have been in our Fusion for quite some time now.  This last Sunday we went on a trip together to plan for Bratislava’s camp hike day.  We were going to look at the trails and find which one could be the best for the camp.  We spent the day together hiking for nearly 6 hours.  We had many great conversations that ranged from deep ones about friends and family members coming to Christ to shallow ones like how much we like kebabs.  These two guys are such a joy and are growing tremendously in their walks with God and their ability to lead.  I am truly looking forward to what will result in the future with these two!
