This Easter weekend I went on a trek to the east of Slovakia. I made a couple stops along the way and visited some people I have not seen for quite some time. The first place I stopped was at my friend Rudo’s in Roznava. I have know Rudo and Lenka for quite a while now. I like to get out there when I can to visit them and spend some time catching up and encouraging them in ministry. I only stopped there for one night, but it was a blessed time.
I also stopped to do a promotion for Fusion in a small village. It was the first time really thinking about Fusion in a village and there were a lot of good questions on the team’s part. I was glad to share with them about Fusion and also share some suggestions of how it could work in their town. Please pray for the leaders in Drievnovkse Nove Ves as they pray and try to determine whether Fusion could be a good fit for them!
Finally, I went to visit the Rumbolds in Bardejov. On Friday I even had the pleasure of spending some time with the Millers from Fort Wayne as they were visiting the Rumbolds that week. The weekend with the Rumbolds was really perfect. I spent time with their boys building into their lives. I spent time with Ed and Wendi and continued to learn from them. I also brought along one of my model trains. We spent a lot of the weekend with the kids playing with the train and building a town around it with legos and other items. The Easter weekend was such a great time to relax and remember what Christ did on our behalf.
