I really enjoyed my time in the U.S. It was such a time of blessing for me! I was able to meet so many people, to be encouraged by them, and to share with them. I was able to spend time with my family and friends. I was able to rest and to be refreshed in God’s Word. I am so thankful for the whole time, but as always it finally came to the time to say goodbye. This was harder than I thought it would be for me. I have been so used to seeing family members again in a couple months that it was strange for me to think, that I did not know when the next time I would see them would be. One of the people who was really hard to say goodbye to was my Papaw (my mother’s Dad). Over a number of years before moving to Slovakia I would spend time with him once a week. I really valued these times and really grew to miss them here in Slovakia. As I was in the States I was able to again meet with Papaw quite often. Of course it was very hard for me to say goodbye, it is much better to see each other in person rather than talking on the phone. I certainly look forward to the next time I will see him!
