We had our second Fusion camp in Slovakia this week! It was quite a large group which was a surprise and a blessing! It was great with such a large group that we had the advantage of already doing a Fusion camp before, so we learned how to run it better. We had so many new students who had never played instruments before. It was really good for our new Fusion team in Bratislava to have such a large turn out for camp! We also had a great concert the last day of camp and I believe many of the students are interested in coming throughout the year. During the week 11 students out of 40 came to Christ! This was so amazing to see and I hope and pray that the team will continue to connect with them and disciple them. Please pray for the team as they move forward and for Draho and I as we support them.
I was able to teach two students Vivi and Dusan how to play electric guitar. It was a lot harder than I thought it would be because they were so basic in their skills, but by the end of the week we were able to play a song together. It was fun to see their faces when they would figure out how to play and how big their smiles were! It was also fun to encourage them when they were down on themselves for messing up. It is not normal in Slovakia for teachers to be uplifting, so it really means a lot when the students are encouraged!
