Exit Tour began today in Banska Bystrica. For those of you who did not read last weeks blog, here is a description of Exit tour. (High school is a time of tough, moral choices, EXIT Tour partners with the local church and goes into schools with an American rock band and national speakers to help teens learn how to avoid life-threatening mistakes and habits, with an evangelistic concert at the end of the week). The Exit tour is from April 24-28. Today we were in the first school of the week and it was quite exciting to see the involvement of the students despite it being an almost all boys school. We had many Seminars sharing about drugs, Sex, alcohol, Gangs, family, life choices, and even about the holocost. All of these seminars are from a Christian perspective, which is great but can be risky. During the program one student called home and complained to her parents that we were talking about God and they called the Administrator to stop it. Thankfully God prevailed and the Administrator let us continue.
One of the other Seminars I did not mention was Fusion. Because Fusion is presented as a prevention program, we were able to present it to two sections of the school. It was awkward at first to get a group of guys to sing, but after awhile they really began to open up and even some showed interest in coming to camp this summer! We are preparing this week to have a concert on Friday in front of the students from all the schools this week. We (Fusion) will be the opening act for the American band, Divine Attraction. Our students are very excited about it, but also very nervous. Please pray for our group as we prepare for the concert. Also pray that God continues to use Exit Tour this week, and that he will protect us from further attacks from the enemy!
