Well this really has been a great holiday despite being away from home. As I wrote in my last blog post Tim Keaton was visiting me for the holidays. We spent time traveling to Wien, Praha, Castles, a World War II museum and of course Banska Bystrica! Christmas was really perfect. We went to the Poloha’s house and spent Christmas eve with them. We went caroling, ate traditional Slovak Christmas food, and opened gifts. It was a fun cultural experince for both Tim and I. On Christmas Day we went to church and then relaxed the rest of the day. In the afternoon I was able to skype in on my Families Christmas. It was so fun to “be with my family for Christmas.” Above is a picture of my brother and sister with their gifts from me. My borther got a Manchester United jersey and my sister a Kilt from Scotland. I bought the gifts back in August when I was in the UK. This is one of the fun things about living overseas is that you can send really unique gifts for your loved ones.
The day after Christmas Tim and I went to Praha (Prague) and enjoyed the city for two days. It is a very lovely historical city and my favorite in Central Europe. If you ever come to Central Europe Praha is definetely a place to visit. I loved traveling around, but enjoyed it even more because I was with my good friend. I am so thankful to have had Tim visit me, it really made the holiday for me.

“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!
